At an informal gathering to thank the academic staff, both old and new for their contributions to the institution over the years, Mick Nades the Director and principal said that IBS was today giving the best in terms of educational qualification to the countries human resources.
"Today we can be ranked among the country's best educational institutions providing quality educational courses and programs for our people from all walks of life who wish to improve in their quest for knowledge" Nades stated.
He related his words of appreciation to all staffs of the IBS both current and past who contributed one way or another to making IBS what it is today while adding that IBS was looking forward to moving to its new premises at 11 mile outside the city.
Mr Nades further elaborated that more new innovative ideas would be introduced to the institute through various programs in collaboration with other educational institutions abroad in order for Papua New Guinea students to attain quality and high qualifications and be among the best in the World.
During the occasion long serving staff were commended for their services to the institution and awarded certificates and presents as well as the rest of the academic and support staff who were also acknowledged for their contributions.
